The government has officially announced a civil award for actress Fazila Qazi, shortly after she had voiced her disappointment over not being recognized with such an honor in the past.



Karachi (August 16, 2025): Fazila Qazi, one of the most celebrated actresses in Pakistan’s entertainment industry, has been nominated for the prestigious Sitara-e-Imtiaz, one of the country’s highest civil awards.

Marking Independence Day, President Asif Ali Zardari announced the names of 263 distinguished individuals—both national and international sardararticle who will be honored for their remarkable contributions. Among them are several of Pakistan’s most beloved figures from the world of arts and showbiz.

This year, the Sitara-e-Imtiaz will be presented to renowned names such as Irfan Ali Khosa, Hadiqa Kiani, Irfan Ahsan, Azra Aftab, Samina Pirzada, Fazila Qaiser Qazi, Sawira Abbas, Humaira Arshad, Saira Naseem, and Salima Hashmi for their exceptional work in the field of arts. 


Taking to social media, Fazila expressed heartfelt gratitude to her fans and her country, describing the nomination as a beautiful acknowledgment of her lifelong dedication and achievements.

“This honor,” she shared, “is not just a reflection of my own efforts but also of the love, support, and encouragement my fans have given me throughout my journey. It proves that the contributions of artists are always recognized and cherished.”

Looking ahead, Fazila added, “I am eagerly waiting for March 23, 2026, to receive this honor. I remain deeply thankful for this recognition and pledge to continue giving my best performances. Thank you, Pakistan.”

It is worth mentioning that the Government of Pakistan will officially confer the civil awards on Pakistan Day—March 23, 2026—celebrating individuals who have delivered excellence in diverse fields of national life.
