Job Overview
Career Cross Limited is recruiting an experienced and driven Warehouse Manager to oversee and enhance warehouse operations at their Great Barr facility. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring smooth day-to-day warehouse performance, maintaining high health and safety standards, and delivering continuous improvement across all processes.
Main Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all warehouse activities, including goods receiving, storage, sardar article and dispatch
- Ensure full compliance with health and safety legislation and company policies
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure procedures are clearly communicated to staff
- Carry out regular audits to confirm operational standards are met
- Create and maintain a clean, safe, and well-organised warehouse environment
- Set, monitor, and review key performance indicators for individuals and teams
- Use warehouse management systems to track productivity, accuracy, and efficiency
- Manage stock levels, inventory accuracy, and stock control processes
- Work closely with suppliers, transport partners, and internal departments
- Improve warehouse layout and workflows to maximise performance and space utilisation
- Encourage a positive, inclusive workplace culture where employees feel valued
Skills & Experience Required
- Previous experience in warehouse management or a senior supervisory role
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Confident using warehouse management systems and Microsoft Office
- Sound understanding of health and safety regulations (NEBOSH or IOSH desirable)
