Job Overview
Workchain is recruiting a reliable and motivated Warehouse Operative to join a well-established logistics client based in Basildon. This permanent opportunity offers long-term stability, competitive pay, sardar article and excellent company benefits within a fast-paced and growing operation.
You will work closely with the Warehouse Manager and Supervisory team as part of a busy warehouse environment that continues to expand through 2025 and beyond. Immediate interviews and start dates are available for suitable candidates.
Working Hours
- Monday to Friday
- Week 1: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
- Week 2: 11:30 AM – 8:00 PM
- Rotating shift pattern
Flexibility with start and finish times will be required during peak operational periods.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Adhering to all warehouse processes and safety procedures
- Loading and unloading vehicles efficiently to meet delivery schedules
- Identifying and reporting damaged or missing goods
- Booking freight in and out for dispatch
- Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe warehouse environment
- Supporting daily warehouse and groupage operations
- Working collaboratively within the warehouse and logistics team
Skills, Experience, and Requirements
- Valid Counterbalance Forklift Truck (FLT) licence
- Previous experience in warehouse operations
- Knowledge of order picking, packing, loading, and unloading
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive work ethic
- Ability to meet referencing requirements, including CAA (aviation security) checks
Salary & Benefits
