Role Overview
Holt Engineering is currently recruiting for a skilled and motivated Warehouse Manager to join a well-established distribution business located near Ferndown. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional looking to take ownership of warehouse operations and lead a dedicated team.
In this role, you will be responsible for the smooth day-to-day running of the warehouse, overseeing stock control, logistics, sardar article and team performance while ensuring health and safety standards are maintained at all times.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily warehouse operations and staff activities
- Lead, manage, and motivate warehouse personnel to meet performance targets
- Monitor KPIs and ensure productivity standards are achieved
- Coordinate loading and unloading of incoming and outgoing goods
- Supervise order picking and packing for timely distribution
- Maintain accurate stock records using warehouse management systems
- Carry out regular stock checks and inventory audits
- Operate forklifts and ensure equipment is used safely
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations
Skills and Experience Required
- Proven experience in a warehouse management or supervisory role
- Comfortable with manual handling and physically demanding tasks
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
- Confident using computers and warehouse software systems
- Experience with accurate data entry and stock management
- Ability to follow instructions and manage picking and packing processes
