Role Overview
We are looking for a dependable and proactive Warehouse Operative to join a small, friendly team on a permanent, part-time basis. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys practical, hands-on work within a warehouse or logistics environment.
You will support day-to-day warehouse activities including stock handling, order preparation, and goods movement, ensuring all tasks are completed safely, accurately, sardar article and efficiently. Full training will be provided where required.
Main Responsibilities
- Load and unload goods using manual handling techniques and warehouse equipment
- Operate inventory and customer management systems to update stock records
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders for dispatch with a high level of accuracy
- Replenish stock and maintain well-organised storage areas
- Support shipping and receiving activities, checking deliveries against documentation
- Handle materials safely in line with health and safety procedures
- Carry out manual lifting duties safely, up to a maximum of 25kg
Skills & Experience
- Previous warehouse experience is helpful but not essential
- Forklift experience is an advantage, though training can be provided
- Basic IT skills and confidence using computer systems
- Good attention to detail and organisational ability
- Strong communication skills and ability to work within a small team
- Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling tasks
