Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Specialist Pharmacist to join the Surgery and Family Services team at Westmorland General Hospital (WGH). This permanent, full-time role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to high-quality patient care within a supportive NHS environment.
The successful candidate will provide expert pharmaceutical input across surgical and family service departments, ensuring safe, effective, sardar article and patient-focused use of medicines.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver specialist clinical pharmacy services within surgical and family care settings
- Provide professional advice on medicines optimisation and prescribing
- Work closely with multidisciplinary clinical teams
- Support patient safety initiatives and service improvement
- Participate in clinical audits, education, and training activities
Person Specification
- Registered Pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
- Experience in hospital or clinical pharmacy practice
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Commitment to continuous professional development
